Discover Colosseum & Forum

A self-guided tour of ancient Rome

Discover Colosseum & Forum is a Travel & Local app for visitors exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill without joining a guided group. It combines landmark information, narrated tour content, maps and written descriptions, helping travelers follow the main sites at their own pace.

What the app covers

The guide organizes information around 33 attractions and points of interest across the archaeological area. Its content is designed to explain what you are seeing as you move between ruins, including well-known landmarks such as the Arch of Titus and the Temple of Saturn. Recommendations for notable sights can also help visitors decide where to spend their time.

• Audio and visual information for individual attractions
• Offline maps for navigating the sites
• Preloaded audio for use without a reliable mobile connection
• Text descriptions that provide an alternative to listening

Useful for independent visitors

This app suits tourists who want historical context while walking rather than relying only on signs or arranging a live tour. Offline access is particularly practical for international travelers dealing with limited data service, roaming concerns or crowded areas where a connection may be unreliable. The map-based layout also gives the tour a clear, place-by-place structure.
